three: love math

This is painting that I did for my wife, Shannon. It was made to commemorate the birth of our baby girl. We now have another on the way, so I guess a new painting is in the offing! :)

It also represents a branching-out artistically for me... I'm starting to push at space a little more in my paintings, I feel. I'm becoming less afraid of large expanses of color, instead of only hugging contours with my paint. Thematically, I think that this is a benchmark for me in that I am not one to put my own vulnerability out there, normally.
