M o t h e r

This is a portrait of my mother for her birthday. This is her in her younger days when I was a babe in arms, and referenced from our favourite photo, and although I see many flaws in it, I'm so happy with how it came out, because this is my very first pencil realism portrait!

This was entirely constructed in 2H mechanical pencil, with the aid of a smudging stick and a 6B graphite stick for the darkest areas :) It is A4 in size :)
