Biography

From math and science in youth... to fitness, dance, health and human performance in later years, I have run the gammut of human interests.

Somehow all this led to visual art.

The visual brings everything that I have ever done together.

Statements

FLUIDISM is the name I attach to my style. It's an old word that I have infused with new meaning.

Fluidism is fluid flow art,... fluid dynamic art,... transient flowscapes that exist fleetingly in actual liquid mixtures,... real paintings that do NOT last very long.

The only way that I can capture this sort of painting that does not last ... is through photography. I make high-quality images to sell as museum-quality canvases.

Also, I license these images as cover art, illustration, or for graphic design.

Creative Tools Used

Mixed fluid media, including oil, water, acrylic, plus flow-control media, ...also natural sunlight as illumination, a film camera, ...found objects and containers for staging, manipulation and control.

Techniques

Manipulating containments of real liquid mixtures in sunlight, ... exploring and discovering spontaneous fluid dynamic patterns,... framing and capturing unique shortlived peak events,... preserving these through photocapture and image production on canvas.

Achievements

Everything that I have ever done is an achievement. Being alive everyday to see what happens next is an achievement.

Honestly, I consider lists of achievements uninspiring. My greatest achievements happen in silence, out of view, behind the scenes, where I arrive at my images. These images and the imagination behind them are what I present as credible evidence. My goal is never to bore you with chronological lists, while trying to enlighten you with my discoveries.

Exhibitions

We exhibit ourselves everytime we walk into public or log onto the internet. This is where people see us for real.
