The ultimate artistic medium is reality. ... Each difference is a distinct aspect of the same one existence.
There most certainly is something universal. There is a sense of meaning that permeates everything. All life has a common connection, and it is the sea. We are built by the rhythms and forms of this fluid mass. The sea is just a molecule in an even greater cosmic ocean that operates in a manner self-similar to its molecular cousin. Fluid, thus, is the interface between creation and destruction, where life and meaning arise in resonant structures. It isn't always pretty, but when it is, it rocks reality in a transcendent song of consciousness. I borrowed the word, "fluidism", from its old usage of describing an ancient Greek theory. I upgraded it to the new usage of describing my mixed media, dynamic painting style of image making. FLUIDISM (according to this new usage) incorporates water, sunlight, liquid colors, oil and other benign liquids with a camera. The result looks like abstract art. But, in actuality, it is realism -- nature's most basic realism -- tangible shapes of sensual substances in the real world -- true pictures of reality's fundamental forms. Fluidism simply reveals what the universe is -- a sea of constantly moving shapes and colors that find pleasing harmonies at peak moments.

This a beautiful collection of fluid images. This is a always changing form that constantly amazes me as does your ability to translate it so well.
